Oak is the densest and longest-burning hardwood available. It burns slowly and steadily, providing exceptional heat output over extended periods. Perfect for overnight burns or when you want lasting warmth without constantly adding logs.

What's in the crate

Approximately 500kg of hand-stacked kiln dried oak logs. Oak is denser than other hardwoods, so you get more weight - and more heat - per crate.

How long will it last?

Oak burns significantly slower than other woods. For typical evening and weekend use, a 500kg crate can last 8-12 weeks. Perfect for keeping the fire going through the night.

Crate dimensions

Approximately 1.2m x 1.0m x 1.0m - fits comfortably on a standard driveway or patio. Please ensure you have adequate access for delivery.

Delivery

Delivered on a pallet to kerbside. If you require assistance unloading and placing the logs, we offer an unloading service.

Storage tip

Keep your logs in a dry, ventilated area such as a shed, garage, or log store. The crate itself can be used for storage outdoors if covered, or broken down and used as kindling.

Lighting tip

Oak can be slower to ignite due to its density. Start your fire with kindling or a faster-burning wood like birch, then add oak logs once the fire is established for long-lasting heat.
